Martin Lawrence Galleries Opens in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas Press Release

Greenwich, CT -- Martin Lawrence Galleries (MLG), a division of
Chalk & Vermilion Fine Arts and the premier fine arts gallery network in the
United States, today announced that they have opened the doors to their
eleventh and newest gallery at the Forum Shops in Caesar's Palace in Las
Vegas.

This new gallery will ultimately occupy a full 27,000 square feet
space, making it perhaps the largest art gallery in the United States.

Like other Martin Lawrence Galleries, the new location showcases both
original and limited edition artwork by best-selling contemporary artists
such as Philippe Bertho Robert Deyber, Erté, Francois Fressinier, Kerry Hallam, Liudmila Kondakova, René Lalonde, Felix Mas, as well as major fine artworks by modern masters Picasso, Chagall, Warhol, Miro, Francis, Lichtenstein, Rembrandt and many, many others.

It was HOT at Citywalk - not just the Deyber paintings, but the temperature! What do you get when you combine - great art - great artist - 96’ outside temperature and lots of art lighting in a gallery filled with people? A great time!   Renowned art fabricator Anna Justice (a collector) and her family were in attendance as well as Hollywood actress Erin Cummings (a collector) who came directly from LAX arriving from New Zealand to ensure she had a chance to see Robert again and pick out new pieces for her growing collection.

Robert Deyber has given surrealism his own modern twist, complete with Facebook and Twitter pages to prove it. As he exploits literal interpretations of
the English language, Deyber’s surprising and comically visual approach to common phrases makes viewers of his paintings think twice about expressions they routinely use.

“There are so many peculiar and quirky phrases which have been calling out to be put into visual form,” says Deyber, whose work is being shown at Martin Lawrence Galleries in San Francisco.

Deyber blends in a shade of irony in his lithographs. “Cold Call,” for example, is a simple image of a polar bear approaching a telephone booth; the title refers to an unexpected phone call to prospective clients or customers.

“My goal is also to take something common and elevate it to the uncommon and create theater, an unfamiliar and unexplored scene,” says Deyber, who once lived in San Francisco. The artist, who is traveling coast to coast personally to introduce his art, will visit two Martin Lawrence Galleries; he’ll be at the Beach Street location Saturday evening and the Geary Street gallery on July 24.

“It’s going to be a wild scene. It will not be pretentious. People will come out to meet the artist. The people who come will have a great opportunity at this stage of Deyber’s career to become a part of art history,” says John Atanasio, managing director of Martin Lawrence Galleries, which is carrying Deyber’s work exclusively.

Classified as a pop surrealist, Deyber’s work has a clever tone which appeals to new and experienced collectors. Tom Petty recently commissioned the artist to create imagery for his newest album, “Highway Companion.”
